Pirelli, one of the symbols of Italian industrial excellence, made a pitstop in the United Arab Emirates capital, Abu Dhabi to gift a special set of tyres to the Ambassador of Italy in the UAE, His Excellency Liborio Stellino.
Pirelli’s mobile service van, a partnership with the premium tyre specialist ZAFCO, dropped by the Italian Embassy in Abu Dhabi’s Embassy Quarter to fit a set of four P ZERO Color Edition bearing the famous Italian flag ‘il-tricolore’ on Embassy’s official car.
The car was then driven around the UAE capital with the distinctive Tricolour tyres visiting iconic Abu Dhabi landmarks including Emirates Palace, the corniche and Yas Marina Circuit, where Managing Director of Middle East and Indian subcontinent at Pirelli. Carlos Milani, officially presented Ambassador Stellino with the tyres.
Pirelli, which has more than 140 years’ history of pioneering tyre technology, has modified its popular P ZERO Color Edition tyres to create a select number of tyres featuring the famous Italian green, white and red Tricolour the tyre wall. The tyres will be fitted on just the office cars of seven Italian Ambassadors around the world, with the UAE joining Germany, the United Kingdom, China, Russia, the United States, and Saudi Arabia. A tricolour tyres will also be on display in the Italian diplomatic offices major global cities including Paris, Ankara, Tokyo, Mexico City, Brasilia, Buenos Aires and the "Farnesina" (the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarter in Rome).
