Spoil your ride has been a section quite appreciated by all tuning fans since its start in November 2012. We will definitely continue as long as the planet is round! In this issue, we meet Bilal Sidani, a 31 year old single man who works in the building materials and supplies industry, whose passion for cars started at the age of 12. Bilal has always been a Mercedes-Benz fan since his early days.
Sidani’s first car at the age of 18 was a 1996 Mercedes-Benz C180, which was slightly tuned with an exhaust and a pretty loud sound system. At the age of 20, he bought a 1997 Mercedes-Benz E320 and this was followed 2 years later by a 1997 E500. At the age of 25, he acquired a 2002 Mercedes C320.
The whole hardcore act of tuning began when he was 26 years old. He bought a 2002 Mercedes-Benz C32 AMG that he fully tuned with a 185 mm crank, SL intake, 82 mm throttle body, headers, exhaust, wrap kit, supercharger pulley, TCU and ECU, and mapping. The car comes with 354 hp as stock and after tuning, the car delivered around 450 hp.
After exactly 1 year, Sidani decided to get a black 2003 C32 AMG, onto which he moved all the tuning parts from the old one. He also added a core wire, CLK exhaust and upgraded map.
The big project that Autodynamics is tuning right now is his 2005 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG. It comes as stock with a 5.5 L engine delivering 476 hp. The new figures after tuning are pretty shocking. It will deliver 750 hp and up to 1000 Nm of torque. 400 meters will be achieved in a mere 11 seconds reaching 217 kph. Top speed is 300 kph plus.
When asked about tuning in Lebanon, Sidani said, “I wish that our country or government could build us a closed circuit or race arena similar to Dubai Autodrome.” He added that for the past 5 years, he has been doing his karting homework once a week.
Sidani said, “Since I was 8 years, old I have watched Formula 1. And when my sister learned to drive, I used to steal the car from her!”
Bilal loved to conclude his interview with a couple of words for ArabWheels readers: “As I have seen ArabWheels, it is definitely a very big and immense title well-known around our region the Middle East. And at the same time, it is a down-to-earth magazine that is purely addressed to people’s social class and the voice of all car lovers!”
Keep tuning and we will keep bringing you the best of the best as you are now used to. Spoil your ride!!
