On January 18, local time, the Guangzhou City Promotion Conference & GAC MOTOR flagship MPV GN8’s Launch Event was held in Al Faisaliah Hotel, Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The delegation from the Guangzhou Municipal Government introduced Guangzhou’s business environment, natural endowment, culture, and transportation. Zeng Qinghong, Chairman of GAC Group, addressed the event and announced the launch of GN8 in Saudi Arabia.

In November 2019, GN8 made its debut in the Middle East at the 2019 Dubai International Motor Show (the Motor Show) and instantly turned heads. Its premium quality and design won the praises of a royal delegation led by Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Li Xuhang, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Dubai, and others. GAC Group Is Committed to Becoming International
Last year GAC Group reformed its organizational structure and set up the International Business Unit in charge of GAC MOTOR’s international business. The goal was to strengthen the management of its international business and explore the approach to internationalization. So far the automaker has established presence in 24 countries. In 2019 its overseas sales grew by 98%, which made it the sales champion among other Chinese brands in many overseas markets. Besides, it owns many award-winning brands and products.
GAC Group’s thriving international business would not have been possible without the strong support and local management of its distributors around the world. During its stay for the launch event, a delegation led by Zeng Qinghong, Chairman of GAC Group, and Yu Jun, Director of International Business Unit of GAC Group, visited the local distributor AAC to look into GAC MOTOR’s sales in Riyadh after its expansion and had in-depth conversations. In the future, GAC MOTOR will build a sales network covering the entire Saudi Arabia and introduce more popular models to this market to make its products and brand better known to local consumers.
GAC Group has always regarded the Middle East as one of its key strategic markets in the world. So far GAC MOTOR has set up 14 sales outlets in 9 countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. In 2020 GAC Group plans to introduce more advanced models to this market, join hands with its strategic partners to adopt localized management, as well as improve sales and after-sales services. It also intends to launch its all-electric model GE3 in Israel in February 2020.
