ArabWheels Awards writes another success story for the automotive industry in the Middle East! Powered this year by the fastest and most reliable smartphone: Sony Xperia XZ!
November 15, 2016, Dubai, UAE: ArabWheels once again continued its devotion and commitment to the automotive industry and automotive enthusiasm for the Middle East region, and exceeded all expectations with its second edition of the “ArabWheels Awards” 2016 (AWA), sponsored by Sony Mobile Xperia, which was held at the Meydan Hotel – a prestigious landmark of Dubai.
“ArabWheels Awards is an annual award presented by ArabWheels’ media platforms – magazine, website, apps, web TV, and e-news – to recognize and acknowledge the latest and greatest of the automotive world,” said Toni Eid, CEO of Trace Media International.
Commenting on the ArabWheels Awards, Issam Eid, editor in chief of ArabWheels and director of the Automotive Media at Trace Media, said: “We took the initiative last year during Dubai Motor Show 2015 week! This year proves once more that we are on the right path to celebrate our 15th anniversary in 2017. To be eligible for ArabWheels Awards, a car must be an “all-new” or “significantly facelifted” vehicle that has been for sale for three months prior to the announcement of the nominated vehicles. The ArabWheels Awards are divided by fifty percent of the jury members’ votes and fifty percent of the readers’ choice, via online voting (www.arabwheels.net). The ArabWheels Awards judging panel is made up of three prominent automotive journalists from the Middle East with regional expertise. The jurors ensured the integrity and credibility of the awards but also serve as an important resource for the industry with a focus on excellence and innovation on a regional scale.”
The guest of honor for this year’s ceremony was Ahmed Al-Amri, UAE King of Drift and our three jurors were: Khaled Hammoud, editor in chief of Auto Info magazine, Nabil Moustafa, managing partner/Xclusive SARL for Automotive Events, and Issam Eid, editor in chief of ArabWheels.
