Editorial
The summer is upon us and starting from the end of this
month the automotive world will start slowing down for the seasonal rest
period. But before we dial down on the enthusiasm of unveilings and new models,
we give you one of ArabWheels most dynamic issues ever.
The sumptuous Bentley Mulsanne on the cover, which was
driven in Scotland, is only the tip of the proverbial iceberg. With ten
different cars driven this past month, we doubt that you will be able to find
the car that interests you the most in these pages. Perhaps this plethora of
burnt gasoline and crunched miles is an indicator of the return to health of
the sector with most if not all manufacturers posting quarterly gains that put
them back all in the green.
Even Chrysler, doubted to return to form by many, has
managed to repay some of its debt to the American taxpayer, and is sure to do
much more once its staggeringly good looking Grand Cherokee hits the global
market by the end of this summer. We test drove their iconic Challenger R/T;
find our thoughts on page 44.
For the summer heat’s evasive reads, we have started a
couple of new features that we hope you will enjoy. First being the Truck of
the Month feature, in which we will showcase a new top of the line working
truck form the world’s most renowned manufacturers. As well as the Lifestyle
section where we will list some of the latest gadgets, gizmos and men’s
accessories to suit your other needs.
We hope you enjoy this issue, and remember you can join us
on any of the mainstream social networking sites by linking up from
